Technical Information

Brief overview of the risk:
The vulnerabilities could allow elevation of privilege if an attacker logged on locally and ran a specially crafted application. An attacker must have valid logon credentials and be able to log on locally to exploit these vulnerabilities. The vulnerabilities could not be exploited remotely or by anonymous users.
Detailed Information on the risk:

An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the way that Windows kernel-mode drivers improperly allocate memory when copying data from user mode. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in kernel mode. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights.
