Technical Information
Brief overview of the risk:
This is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting the Windows Codecs which is associated with the image and video handling. To exploit this vulnerability the user has to open a specially crafted image or video file with an affected version of the codec pack. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute arbitrary code in the context of the logged on user.
